Surf Lessons

Ages: 7+

Duration: 1.5 Hours

Levels: All Levels
Our lessons are focused on learning, safety, and fun. During the lesson we will work towards teaching you how to get to your feet as quickly & efficiently as possible with a goal to be standing and riding a wave by the end of the lesson.
There is always something new to learn in the sport of surfing, our group lessons are targeted at beginners but as you progress you may want to invest in a private lesson with one of our Head Instructors. Here we will teach you a new skill set during each session including riding an unbroken wave left & right, changing direction, paddling skills, reading the waves & conditions, surfing etiquette and choosing the right equipment.
Group surf lessons suitable for all levels.
We also offer girls only, junior & couples lessons.
Contact us for lesson times or call see us at the surf bus at the beach!
We have surf summer camps running every week of the Summer. These are available to book online. The morning classes are for 6 to 12 years and the afternoon classes are for 12 years upwards. All our summer camp classes run for 2 hours each day. The start times for our camps vary each week depending on tide times, these times will be communicated in advance to you. Please arrive approx 15 mins before the start time to allow for wetsuit sizing and changing
Each student should come equipped with a good towel and warm clothes for after the lesson including a jacket and a wooly hat as an option. Even though we supply booties for each lesson if you have your own we encourage people to bring them so there is no overlap in sizes if attending a group lesson. Sun protection, please ensure you have sunscreen with you don’t be fooled by clouds. Depending on the thickness of the cloud cover, it is possible to burn on a cloudy day, even if it does not feel very warm. Also don’t forget a plastic bag for your wet togs!
